As academic medical centers
(AMCs) are increasingly impacted by mergers and acquisitions, their leaders must
be prepared to evaluate and navigate such transactions. This report from the Future of Academic Medicine series discusses
key elements of AMC Mergers, Acquisitions, and Partnerships (MAP) at every
stage: evaluation, negotiation, implementation, and post-transaction evaluation.
